Franchise Opportunities - Your Questions Answered
Q1: Can I bring in a good income?
Our established franchisees do already! If you are ready to work hard, you will build a successful business. Like any business, this requires your total commitment. If you want to build a multi-van operation the territory is plenty large enough for more than one showroom.
Q2: How much does the franchise cost?
A Starbrite Chemicals franchise costs £19,500 plus VAT and we recommend £10,000 - £15,000 of working capital. Additional costs include purchase or lease of a suitable vehicle. The deposit is included within your start up costs.
Q3: What will my training involve?
The training of new franchisees starts with an induction course at our head office in West Sussex. Before you start your induction course you will spend the week prior out in the field with one of our franchisees or sales team. This will give you a far better understanding of the business before you start. The course will last one week followed by further training in the field. You will cover all aspects of operating the business including territory management, product knowledge, Accounts, sales & marketing, business administration and credit control.
Q4: What ongoing support do you provide for your franchisees?
The support offered by Starbrite continues throughout the growth of your franchise. Whether you need advice on how to develop your franchise or assistance with a particular product, support is always available. You are not alone and our proven business system has set many franchisees on the road to success.

Q6: What ongoing costs are there?
You will need to provide your own phone lines, fuel for your vehicle and insurances (after year 1). There is no royalty or license fee.
Q7: I would like to speak to existing franchisees. Are you happy for me to do so?
We positively recommend this and suggest that you should not even consider a franchise of any nature unless you do so. We also recommend spending some time out with an existing franchisee.
Q8: Will I receive any marketing support?
Like any business you are responsible for your own marketing efforts. We will provide you with the tools for your marketing campaigns. You will be able to download leaflets, flyers and point of sale materials. We have a monthly special offer in line with a leaflet to assist you.
Q9: How can I expand my business?
A single van sales operation can turnover in excess of £200,000, above this you could consider a second vehicle. Starbrite will assist you with this phase of your business development.
Q10: How soon can I be in business?
The whole process, planning and training course is likely to take around two to three months. There is a lead-time of 8 weeks once the vehicle racking has been ordered.
Q11: Do you select your franchisees carefully?
Extremely! The success of our business relies upon your success and therefore we consider each application carefully.
